PROACTIVE PARENTING:A Guide to Raising EXCEPTIONAL Children

Testimonials

Brandi Keeler is the epitome of style, grace and intelligence. From the moment that I met her on CCS’ campus, I realized that she is special. She was an outstanding student and she won awards with regularity while easily winning friends with her light-hearted manner.  She has taken that same spirit of excellence into her advertising career and she still manages to keep her finger on the pulse of Detroit’s arts and cultural community. I am honored to know Brandi and I look forward to watching her continue to grow and flourish. I have not had the honor of meeting her parents but I feel certain that she is only displaying the beauty, discipline and integrity that have been instilled in her at home.

-Rhonda Welsh, Poet/Performer/Educator and Assistant Director of Public Relations, College for Creative Studies

I met Brandi Keeler when she was dropped off at the College for Creative Studies for a summer college-prep program and I was delighted that following fall semester when I saw that she was an incoming freshman. During her time at CCS she

She has always been well mannered, happy, helpful and caring. She truly stands out among her peers. When I had the opportunity to hire her, I did not have to think twice. When she told me that she could no longer work for me, because she was taking on a new adventure, the first thing I thought was "how am I going to replace her?" She is one of the most selfless and caring people I know. She is also one of the most driven and hardworking people I know. She is an amazing individual and I am so glad that I can call her my friend. Even though she has graduated, she is still a strong influence on our campus.

-Michael D. Coleman, M.S., Director of Student Life, College for Creative Studies

“It has been my privilege to know Brandi Keeler as a student who was enrolled in two of my classes at the College for Creative Studies, and more recently, as an advertising professional from whom I commissioned an infographic for passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S. 1176; H.R. 2966).  Please know that Brandi (Brandi—if you prefer—“Ms. Keeler”) was more than willing to offer her services for this infographic project “pro bono.”

Brandi is truly an exceptional young woman.  As a student, she always demonstrated excellence in all her work.  In fact, she consistently approaches everything that she does with a spirit of optimism and commitment.  For example, she is always more than willing to offer her considerable talents to help her community—and, for that matter—anyone who asks for her assistance.

While I commend her parents for all that they have done to instill in Brandi the values of optimism, commitment to a cause and hard work, I particularly admire their ability to have given to her a sense of joy in her life and work.  Brandi has joy—and that is an enviable quality in our age.  I am very proud to call Brandi Keeler a friend.

Talented and dedicated.  These are two descriptions that come to mind when I think of Brandi.  I’ve known Brandi now for about 4 year’s going back to her first days at CCS ( College for Creative Studies ).  Right from the get go Brandi was unafraid to jump right into a conversation about her goals.  She was dedicated to make her time in college pay off.  Brandi’s natural talents then took over and she attacked all her projects with a “what if ” approach.  A fun and open creative challenge. To be the best, and create the very best problem solving ideas.

It’s still that dedication and talent today that drives her to be a success.  And I have no doubts that it’ll be those attributes that will lead to Brandi’s success in her future.

I currently work with Brandi now at TeamDetroit, her ideas and art direction are wonderful.
